We live in an area that offers an excess of opportunities from private and public ski areas with programs for every level, to the training and graduating of Olympic Athletes of which there have been many.

Choices for those who love golf can choose from several public, or private courses such as the Georgian Bay Club, a driver and a mid iron from the Residences of Peaks Bay or the Raven Club at Lora Bay, located just west of the Town of Thornbury.

The region continues to recognize the rapid growth both in mountain and trail bike riding as well as road riding and the region has some of the best riding areas anywhere in the province.

For sailors there are wonderful harbours nearby, at Thornbury and Meaford and the best non salt water sailing in the world is in Georgian Bay.

For those who like to hike, we are located across Highway 26 from the Georgian Trail which winds along an old rail link between Meaford and Collingwood with joining trails in the Collingwood area. This trail is very active with both hikers and cyclists.

Behind the Georgian Peaks Club on the Niagara Escarpment you will find access to the famous Bruce Trail, where you can take an afternoon hike of two or three hours as you stroll through woodlands, orchards, and lush farm areas. Where the Loree Forest exits at the top of Georgian Peaks you can view fabulous vistas of Georgian Bay from high atop the Niagara Escarpment.
